What is the p-value for a two-sided test twice NOT face a test?
I just received my stats test back, and the teacher offers to extend credit (which I desperately need) to anyone who can tell him the exception to the rule that the value of p for a two-tailed test is twice that for a unilateral test. For the life of me I can not find the answer to the question. Can someone please help me?
If the distribution is not symmetrical, so you would not double the p-value on one side for p-value for a two-tailed test.
